Lets start with building public toilets, start providing dust bins, If you haven't noticed these are some of the basic amenities America has provided to its people and this is what is missing in India . Once you provide these facilities and then people don't make use of these facilities then you have every right to fine them.

On the highways there are no restrooms for miles together and yet one doesnt find people peeing around in the fields.

Second of all the only place you can pee are at the gas stations where only customers are allowed to pee and most of the times their loos dont work.

Restaurants dont allow non patrons to pee and there are no open pay and use loos available and believe me I have travelled the length and breath of America to know that restrooms are availabe only on major highways

AASHTO standards require all highways(freeways) to have have rest stops(with public restrooms which have to be maintained by Transportaion authority)every ten miles. You may not have seen rest stops becuase you haven't payed attention.
It is true cities in America do not have public restrooms(maintained by the government) like Europe does, that is becuase fast food restaurants(such as Mc Donalds, Wendys) and gas stations(such as Chevron, Mobil) have made agreements with with city and state government to provide restrooms for all people free of cost. The blue logo of a man and a woman on the restroom doors mean they are public and free. Restaurants and gas stations do it becuase they feel once they attract the drivers to use the restroom then the drivers will end up buying something from the restaurant and gas station (marketing strategy). However companies cannot force the drivers to buy food nor can they refuse the drivers from using the restrooms, this would be unlawful. The reason some places have the token sytem or they key system to use the restroom is becuase they want avoid vandalism.

If they do work they works has maids and their jobs do not have them commuting long distances like their husbands. Also, in America construction workers are provided with Potable potties and indian construction companies don't provide these kind of services. Bangalore is severly lacking with providing public restooms and dust bins to its population.
Now you are going to ask me why don't indian restaurants don't provide free restroom usage. That is becuase of costs, flusing water down the toilet is way more expensive in India then in the states and companies would'nt be able to make a huge profit with this kind of marketing strategy.

I called you snooty becuase I have seen plenty of nouveau rich people like your self stay in America for a while then come back and find faults with India. First of all you can drive up to speeds of 80 mph in the US, so you can get to a rest stop in about half an hour. Have you seen a toilet on the indian highways?, becuase I haven't. Also, about the men peeing on the roads I think more like 99.99999% of the men do it. It might come has a shocker to you, I am pretty sure your father, your husband, your brothers have all done it, eventhough they won't admit to doing such a thing.

"mauled" is'nt that too much of an exagerration. I go out with most of my female colleagues or friends and I don't see strangers harassing them. Neither,have I seen other women harassed when I walk down the streets. I wonder if all this happens in dark alleys or when women walk alone on the streets, or these guys who do it are such professional experts that they do it without being caught, or I guess I just live in euphoria land.

So, yes good public loos are the answer especially the kind I saw on Richmand Road today.

As far as mauling goes, I've had bitter experiences while I travelled in buses back in college days.

It was my dad's idea to make us girls rough and tough by busing it, no car pooling or hitching for that matter, just enough money to come and go from college. That was his idea of equality and teaching us the value of money....but anyways I do concede here and enjoyed debating and understanding your valid points.

Yeah what u say about our uncouth chaps peeing at every available opportunity at every available place that they take a fancy to is 12000 times correct. They are a disgrace to our society and human race as well. It is better that such dirty chaps are sent to re-addiction centre to be purified and replenished with some brain washing to make them understand the value of hygiene.

I cant understand why a richie rich chap driving a swanky Honda car would stop his vehicle and get out to just pee , a long session and a huge relief at the end of it. Aah! What a relief, says that chap. What should be done is that such chaps should be castrated and shaved off his hair not only on his head, but every part of his body. Unfortunately old habits die hard, but we must know that peeing is a tradition and a resource in one of the fastest growing economies in the world – India.

Otherwise what should be done that such vulgar chaps should be stripped of his clothes and dole, given a power kick on his ass and made to boot running. Or a garland of chappals around his neck would be enough to deter him.
