After living in Bangalore for the past three months I have become darker than the Gingerbread Man. The loss of my smooth creamy complexion has been a source of witty conversation amongst those who know me, add a few spinkle of pimples thanks to the pollution and most people are now giving me tons of advice on what to do to regain my formal glory.

I get the pimple aspect but whats the deal with being so obsessed with having a light skin? People living down South and here in the North are obsessed with skin tone. Now I find that it is not an Indian phenomena but the Chinese too want to be 'Fair and Lovely'.

And, here I thought they were the fairest and creamest of them all.
