It has recently come to light that in Ukraine stem cells may have been taken from live babies. BBC News has a disturbing video footage of postmortem pictures of tiny bodies and further investigation revealed that many mothers complained that their newborns had been taken by the maternity staff.

The dismemberment of bodies is not a general practice and it has been alleged that it was being practiced to harvest stem cells from the bone marrow.
