Things That Bang

Whenever we see lovers snuggling up in public most of us having only one thing to say- Get a room!! But here is the dilemma young Indian lovers face - some can't afford decent rooms, some find the idea of renting rooms for making out sleazy and others don't have the cojones.

That being said, pre-marital sex is common amongst the urban Indian youth (it may be as simple as - where there is a will there is there a way) but so is making out in public in places like parks, cinema halls and even parking lots. A peck or two, hugs are fine, even the occasional butt hitting make people smile but when it gets beyond the Wonder Years lip locking to down right steamy HBO bared skin on skin in public we have a major problem in our hands.

Today's Bangalore Mirror talked about voyeurs taking pics of lovers with their cell phone cameras and being unapologetic about it when caught red handed by the reporters. If anyone here in Bangalore has been to Lal Baugh knows what the report was all about. There are more lovers to be found in the groping each other or lying in each others arms instead of regular families with kids.

The deeper one goes into the park more couples in various positions become visible doing stuff and some of the stuff is down right racy.

I've always been against moral policing but there have been times when I had to distract my kids when we stumbled on couples getting caught in the moment. Dishevelled clothes and bits of skin showing had me rolling my eyes, worse still the pawing of bosoms in public made me want to slap them silly and say- Spare us. Get a room.

And maybe just maybe we should go up to these hormone crazed lovers and tell them as much.
